Software Development Process at Digital Hub

Nothing is discovered at the end of a Digital Hub project. The software development process below is built so that each piece of work is reviewed and signed off before the next one starts.

Digital Hub, a hub IT company in Pakistan, runs the same seven-step process on every project, whatever the service. A website, a mobile app, a CRM and a branding project all follow it, with the steps shaped to the work.

The seven steps, and what you do at each one

  1. Step 1

    Discovery call

We go through the project in detail, the budget and the timeline. You describe what you need, and Digital Hub asks what it needs to know to scope it.

  2. Step 2

    Proposal and scope

A written proposal and a scope document, so both sides know exactly what is being built. You receive both in writing and agree them before work starts.

  3. Step 3

    Milestone plan

The scope is broken into milestones, each with its own deliverable and date. Work begins on an advance of 50 to 70 percent, taken in milestones only on large projects, and the balance is paid before delivery, after your final test.

  4. Step 4

    Build, milestone by milestone

Work is delivered one milestone at a time. Each is reviewed and signed off before the next one starts, so nothing is discovered at the end. You review each milestone and sign it off.

  5. Step 5

    Testing and handover

Everything is tested, then handed over with a walkthrough so the client's own team can run it. You receive the work and the walkthrough together.

  6. Step 6

    Launch

    The work goes live.

  7. Step 7

    Support after launch

One month on short projects, three months on long ones. Longer cover is available as a retainer.

Questions about the Digital Hub process

Does every service follow the same process?

Yes. Branding, Digital Growth, Web Development, App Development, SaaS Product Development, and CRM, ERP and AI Systems all follow the same seven steps. The steps are shaped to the work, so a branding milestone looks different from a CRM milestone, but the order, the sign-offs and the handover are the same.

When do I pay on a Digital Hub project?

In two parts. Work begins on an advance of 50 to 70 percent of the quoted amount, depending on the type of project, and on a large project the advance is taken in milestones. The balance is paid before delivery, after you have run a final test of the work. Invoices are in PKR or USD and are due within 15 days, and the terms and conditions set out the rest.

What happens after my project launches?

Digital Hub supports the work for one month after launch on short projects and three months on long ones. The work is handed over with a walkthrough, so your own team can run it. Longer cover is available as a retainer, and for SEO and marketing the retainer has a 5-month minimum engagement.

Why does the process start with a discovery call and not a price?

Digital Hub publishes no prices, packages or starting figures, because the scope decides the cost. The discovery call covers the project in detail, the budget and the timeline, and the written proposal and scope document that follow tell you exactly what is being built.
